Ever wonder what game developers do with your feedback?

Back in December, we invited thousands of players into an Alpha test to try Breakaway, our fast-action Battle Sport from Amazon Game Studios, Orange County. The point? To get your feedback. What was fun? What needed work? We wanted to hear it all.

And the feedback was awesome. Not just because you thought the experience was fast, fun, and intense, but because of all things you told us needed to be improved. You wanted tighter controls, a less chaotic battlefield, a clearer sense of how abilities worked, and more.

Since then, we’ve been hard at work making changes based on your feedback. We’ve revamped character and camera controls, giving players the ability to strafe and move while attacking. We also reimagined the mechanics around buildables, made big changes to the progression system, and made player abilities easier to understand and use.

And a few weeks ago marked another important milestone. We invited a group of 30 players and Twitch broadcasters into the studio to show them what we’ve been up to. We wanted to give them a chance to experience the changes and tell us if we’re on the right track.

We got tons of feedback on the new changes, and lots of ideas for ways to keep improving the game, and we’re grateful for the community members who made the trip and shared their thoughts. You can learn more about some of the changes we’re making here. And while you’re at it, check out Breakaway’s newest Warrior, Jarra the Shadow Huntress.

We can’t wait to share the latest version of Breakaway with the rest of you. Look for more info soon on when and how you can try it out for yourself.

And keep the feedback coming; we're listening!
